Giant Loop Pannier Mounts - 18mm Tubing

Needed a way to make some hard cases (Tactix / Pelican Style) easily detachable from my R1300GS to make it easier for cleaning and maintenance functions on the bike. These mounted up to my after-market tube racks easily and securely. I did add a wrap of insulation tape where the clamps attach over the tubes for additional rigidity, I think the top clamp mount could be a little wider, it all seems to be secure enough. It would be beneficial to have a plug for the barrel lock to keep the dirt out as experience with this type of lock is that they tend to accumulate dirt and become hard to unlock. Overall, I would recommend these mounts for attaching all sorts of inexpensive panniers. Mine are used for tools, tyre repair, spare parts and first aid kits and are always on the bike, so this is a good system for quick removal when needed.
